During the December Holiday season, Building Bridges seeks and identifies children at or below poverty level in our community, that would otherwise not be receiving any gifts during the holidays. Our Annual Holiday Gifting Program includes adopting families, gift shopping and wrapping, monetary donations and the delivery of gifts anonymously to the children and families in need. All are welcome to sign up to help identify children, adopt a family, shop, wrap, deliver gifts or to volunteer time to our Holiday Gifting Program.

This program was started by Jason and Julie Pitser, who dedicated their time and resources to the project before they moved to Georgia. With three of their own children, they took on the daunting task of contacting schools, collecting volunteers and organizing the program. The end result was the involvement of six or more schools and near a hundred children to help during the holidays. It was so well run and organized that they felt confident that Building Bridges could take it over on a smaller scale. We can’t thank them enough for their inspiration, drive and commitment to our mission. We miss them and wish them all of our best, but their legacy of giving is carried on in every gift we give!
